The archway area in our big barn has been converted into a large space, called The Hayloft. The Hayloft is 8.5 m x 5.5m, centrally heated by radiators fed by the Ground Source Heat Pump. The Hayloft is flexible in its use, with a stone floor, multiple sockets and varied lighting, and 25 stackable chairs and 5 stackable tables are provided.

Costs vary according to group type and use. The Hayloft can be booked separately from residential groups or with a residential booking. We encourage use by local groups and those looking to work in the environment or community based activities.

The close proximity to the Farmhouse and other guest accommodation means it is not a suitable venue for late night or noisy parties.

The farm shop sells free range eggs, fair trade snacks, drinks, ices and a selection of vegetarian frozen foods along with Ordanance Survey Maps.

Suitable uses already found for the space are for group meetings, craft activities, outdoor training and preparation, art and exercise classes, professional business training and meeting space - this list is not limited - as the Hayloft becomes used by a wider diversity of groups we will add other possible uses.

Examples of prices are below :-

• A group of navigation trainees have stayed here, booking both bunk barns and the static caravan. We charged them £6 per person for the use of the Hayloft for the two day booking as they used the Hayloft for just the two evenings.
• A group of churchgoers booked the bunk barns. We charged them £6 per person per day, 2 days, as they used the Hayloft for the full two days.
• A management training group booked the bunk barns and used the Hayloft as a preparation and training space. We charged them £10 per person per day(maximum £100 per day), 2 days, for its use.
• A group of nature/acheological enthusiasts used the Hayloft for one day and were on site in the morning and evening for a couple of hours. We charged a minimum fee of £50 for its use.

As you can see the charge reflects to time and use thatthe Hayloft is put to and also to what type of group you are.
