Campsite closed till Easter 2012.

The camping Bothys are £20 per night and have been very popular.

We have a Shop hatch into the campsite and sell all the items from the shop there, including home-made scones and cakes.

Walling Courses 2011

2011 has been another great year for the DSWA at Bushey Heath Farm, we look forward to more courses next year and will post them up once confirmed.

This year over 45m of wall was rebuilt to a high standard by novices on training courses.

There has been enormous stretches of wall completed since 2008 – thanks to all members and trainees!

Members Weekend 25/26 September 2010 - great weekend, the weather held off and a great stretch of wall 25m ish was completed with the two new Bee Boles. The Bee Skeps are in place and next year we hope to look at colonising them with a couple of bee colonies.

A weekends hard work - well done all!

2011 Weekends - We don’t generally publish availability or have online booking, if you are interested in a barn or barns call or mail us with the date, or dates.

We are a bit old fashioned and like to talk to our visitors! If you call, between 9am and 9pm, we should be able to help your query. If you email we aim to get back to you asap – but no promises.

Turn your weekend away into an activity weekend with our local qualified guides. MTB adventures – guided rides from the farm to all the best routes in the area with grades for all abilities.

Fitness activities on the farm. Work out to set training in the Hayloft. Forest Bash like the army for a session. Get fitter quicker with the Boot Camp training.

Hayloft – Training Classroom

Some great feedback on the use of the Hayloft :– “The Guatemala team of Peace Brigades International held a training and selection week at Bushey Heath Farm during October 2008, March 2009 and October 2009 (and booked for June 2010!). Bushey Heath was a great venue for the week, the training room was spacious and light and the accommodation comfortable and practical.”

Renewables Visit

We have seen an increasing interest in the renewable projects we have on the farm and now show private individuals and commercial groups around on a regular basis. If you are interested in the Wind Turbine, Ground Source Heat Pump or Rainwater Harvesting for your own property, business development or as a sustainable model then contact us for a visit. As a guide we charge £50 min. for private visits and a £100 min. for commercial visits.
